Spandan is a secular, non-profit organization in India, registered under Trust Act set up in 2021. The organization works for elderly person for their healthy livelihood. The organization’s programme are focused on direct intervention of Agecare – Helpline, Senior Citizen care homes, Day Care Centre, Livelihood – Elder self-help group

The citizens, who have crossed the age of 60 years are described variously as ‘senior citizens’, ‘elderly’ and ‘aged’. The population of this segment has increased steadily since 1950. The Census of India 2011 enumerated approximately 104 million elderly persons (aged 60 year or above) and is expected to grow to 173 million by 2026.

Spandan aims to build an equitable relationship of strength, sustenance, and dignity between the cities and villages, using lots of love, affection, care and respect towards aged and poor people. Today, if we are able to work so rapidly to create a new India, it is because of the foundation of our senior citizens laid. The value and wisdom of our senior citizens are important for us. To ensure comfort and security of aged is the bounden duty of the society that many of them feel unsafe, neglected, or abandoned is a reflection of our own callousness and constitutes and indictment we should be acutely conscious of. We have either disregarded or underestimated the intellectual capital, wisdom and experience that each one of the elderly can provide.

Spandan begun with the vision with the dream to build a group of individuals, who would help to create better opportunities and possibilities for elderly persons and children who need financial aid to boost to their lives.
